This week

This week we have a few events of note:
We had our Firefighter visit today! Ed Schons is a Senior Chief with the Olathe Fire Department and he came to visit Kindergarten. He showed us his equipment, uniform and helmet. He was so helpful and patient with all of our questions. Thank you Ed for making the time to visit us.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, we have our whole-school picture. Please send your child in green if possible.

Thursday is our Fun Fair at Forest View. Many of you have purchased wristbands at a discounted rate already. You can still purchase wristbands and tickets at the door Thursday evening. It should be fun. This isn't a big money-maker for the school, mostly a fun family event. Please stop by for some inflatable fun!

Friday, the 4th graders (I think it's 4th grade) will be selling popcorn in the lunch room for .50 cents a bag. If your child would like some, send them to school with $ that day. I will also be sending home parent/teacher conference slips on Friday. Please initial and return. I've worked hard to make sure your child and his/her siblings have back-to-back conferences. If you need to change one of the time slots, please note that it will influence your other child's conference as well. I will try to accommodate as many requests as possible. I can tell you that my evening slots are full. I have many afternoons and mid-day times available still.

We went on our 1st field trip of the year to the Alldredge Orchard on Monday. It was a blast. Pictures are below. Thanks to all who helped make it a success.

That's all for now!
