We're finishing up our second full week of school and we're set for three stay-home-days. Are you as ready for that as I am? I hope you have fun plans for your three days.
A quick update to our kindergarten world today. We're really getting into the groove here. Lunch choices, milk choices and emptying the backpack is getting easier and faster each morning.
We finished up our unit on Shapes (rectangle, triangle, square, ELLIPSE and RHOMBUS) and we've started 3-D shapes (cube, rectangular prism, sphere, cone, cylinder). I have also finished a preliminary baseline of letters and sounds on your children. They're all doing very well and they're excited to write every day.
We're going to be making some changes to the format of the black take-home binder. We as a Kindergarten team met with 1st grade and really liked their format for communication and keeping important stuff all together. In the next week, be on the lookout for a change to the black binder, agenda pages and take home folder. In a nutshell, we're trying to streamline the way we get info to you. I'll make sure to let you know when it's all done. Thanks for your patience.
That's all for now, have a wonderful weekend!
